A garden can look fantastic even when not much is flowering if the plants are selected for their foliage too. The contrasting colors and textures make it pop. And here many are edible too. Notice silvery Crambe maritima at the front.

Strawberry tower - when there is not enough space

No need for extra strawberry bed, you can harvest strawberries easily of this pretty little version of a strawberry tower which is so much fun to build.

Summer in edible garden

Evening primroses and nodding onions are so easy to grow and look and smell fantastic. Edible? Of course! Medicinal? Yes please!

it is no longer necessary to have rich soil to grow plants. New techniques introduced by the leaders in the industry offer solutions for poor soils and even recycled waste materials like crushed concrete. How exciting!

Peace Garden initial presentation

I had a wonderful opportunity to help local community at Bridgend Farmhouse create their own Peace Garden. I work closely with Peace and Justice Scotland, and Multicultural Family Base delivering series of workshops where the community members learned how to design a garden while developing plan for the Peace Garden.

This plant bring me so much joy. It is so easy to grow, pollinators love it and it reminds me of wildflower meadows in my homeland Czech Republic.
